The Clubhouse includes a fireplace, kitchen, billiards, ping pong table, library, bar room, sauna, exercise room, locker room with showers, and a large screen TV. Clubhouse hours are 8 AM to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 8 AM to 2 AM Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays. Keys to the clubhouse and exercise room may be retrieved from the guard house.
Two party rooms are available to rent for private functions (upper level and/or lower level). The Upper level is a maximum of 121 people, $200 deposit, and the price ranges from $300 to $425 depending upon length (6-hour minimum). The Lower level is a maximum of 25 people, $75 deposit, and the price ranges from $30 to $85 depending upon length (3-hour minimum).

A large outdoor pool with swimming lanes, separate baby pool, on-duty lifeguard, and a sundeck is located in the rear of The Colonies Clubhouse.
The pool is open from Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. The pool may be open after Labor Day depending on guard availability and weather. Hours will be 11 AM to 8 PM, however the hours and days of operations of the pool may be altered at any time by the Board of Directors.
There are two tennis courts with night lighting. Courts may only be used by those with a valid Colonies Facilities Pass and should be reserved by signing up at the guardhouse, but not more than one day in advance. Play is limited to 1 hour for singles and 1-1/2 hours for doubles. Players using a court without a reservation must yield to those with one who arrives on time.
A tot-lot that includes a slide, rock climbing wall, swings, and other equipment is in a quiet area of the property adjacent to building 9 on Tremayne Place. There is also a basketball court ready for friendly competition.
Sport & Health gym is located across the street from our community. We have teamed up with them to provide our residents with a corporate discount. If you wish to become a member, please ask for our community's pricing.
Three gas grills are located on the patio next to the kiddie pool behind the clubhouse for resident use.
Twenty-nine acres of trees! Mature landscaping filled with azaleas, dogwoods, tall trees, flowerbeds and a beautiful Koi Pond. Benches and picnic tables are located throughout the community.
Each unit has an individually assigned storage bin located in one of the storage rooms on the garage level of each building. Please inquire with the office to find your assigned storage space.
The storage rooms are protected by an overhead automatic sprinkler system which is activated by a fire. You should provide a padlock for your storage bin and check the bin from time to time to see that all is in order. Please report any burned out lights or leaks to the Security Team and any thefts to the Fairfax County Police Department.
The Colonies assumes no liability and specifically disavows any responsibility for any items placed in the storage areas by any co-owner or tenant.
Recycling bins are between buildings 7 & 9, between buildings 10 & 13, and Provincial Drive parking area near building 6. This attachment contains guidance on recycling in our community.
Each floor in the twelve residential buildings throughout the property has a trash chute with a small room. Trash and recycling items are NOT to be left in the trash room. Additionally, a trash dumpster is located in each residential building garage.
Bulk items may be disposed of by paying a fee and scheduling a pick up, please call the office for details.
Trash is picked up Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Recycling is picked up Tuesday and Thursday.
There are bike racks located in every garage. Please register your bicycle with the office by filling out the following form. The office will give you a sticker decal.
Recreational Vehicle parking is located on the North end of the parking area between buildings 10 and Building 13 and on the Southwest corner of the parking area between buildings 3 and 4.
